About the event

A one-day event designed for writers of every skill level. The festival will offer hands-on writing workshops in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and screenwriting. There will be an optional plein air writing hike through the pristine woods; a keynote presentation; a panel discussion on writing and community; a book and community resources fair for authors and community organizations to share information about their work, and an open mic night. Workshop size is limited. Please register early! The main program will run from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, with continental breakfast provided, optional box lunch, and optional dinner off-campus, and an open mic at 7:00 PM. Attendees who also perform music are encouraged to bring their instruments!  The evening is BYOB (wine and beer only, please). See the Lit Fest Page for more details.
